Meet the Photographer: Diana Frunzi Reimer
Hi. Thank you for taking the time to visit and browse my photography: Eyes on .
I was born in Philadelphia, PA, second generation Italian-American, married to my husband of 34 years, Don Reimer, mother of two children, Natalie and Nathanael, now an empty nester. My love of photography has grown out of preserving the past in pictures, primarily of my family, relatives and our children’s activities over the years.
In 1998 as a family, our first trip to brought us to the
Amalfi
Coast
in southern . This initial visit took us from the town of Amalfi, along the length of the magnificent Amalfi Coast, to Positano a town who’s structure is very original; its buildings cling, in tiers to the rock face ending at the water’s edge of the Mediterranean Sea.
Needless to say, I became hooked! This beautiful and impressive introduction to , brief as it was, changed my life’s goals; I wanted to record in pictures my sense of in a natural setting that would reflect its history and culture, architecture and traditions.
With Don at my side, our eight years of subsequent visits to took hold of my consciousness and honed my love of photography – bell‘Italia as seen through the eyes of the beholder.
