I graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1989 with a B.F.A. in painting but my style is folk/outsider/primitive/raw. I 'm  heavily influenced by children's art, my HUGE vintage children's book collection, films from the 50s, 60s & 70s- especially musicals, kitsch images like valentines from the 50s and personal relationships  ( male - female) as well as my interest in Buddhism and Voodoo, burlesque ; anything off beat and unusual.
